Summer is coming up and it's time to go to a place to have fun and cool off. The Coney Island Beach/ Boardwalk located in Brooklyn, New York is an idea. With amusement park rides, food, the beach, and boardwalk there are many choices to make of it, including the New York Aquarium also being located on the boardwalk (just a block away from everything else).
The rides there seem fun and interesting just by looking at it. The amusement park is split into two parks, Luna Park and SteepleChase park, doesn't have a difference being that all the rides are all together. It doesn't really make sense. Just like any other park you pay for tickets to go on the rides or get a wristband. The prices are expensive, when purchasing the ticket you have to know which park section you are going to the ride of ride you will be riding. Certain rides listed in the Extreme Thrill is not listed for wristband users meaning they would have to purchase a ticket.
The pricing of the tickets and wristbands are high but somehow doesn't really make sense with the fact certain rides won't accept the wristbands, causing you to buy a ticket.
The food is good from Nathan hotdogs to funnel cakes and ice cream. Not only is there food located there but also on the streets within it like the store, It'Sugar, Subway, etc so there is never an option of not having food.
The boardwalk on Coney Island is big and let's you get to and from the park and beach. With benches to sit, restrooms to clean yourself off after being on the beach.
The beach is fairly decent while the water is cool, clean, crisp and refreshing. The sand isn't the cleanest with it's garbage in it. Aside from the mess it has like a little park with slides and swings allowing there to be more fun!
Overall Coney Island is an okay place to visit for summer.
